Will those who honor Samhain please respond?

According to my understanding, Samhain is a mystical time, when the veil between the spirit world and the mortal realm is thin. I also know that the Druid priests did not hold Samhain according to any calendar and only placed it somewhere between the autumnal equinox and the winter solstice. The time for the sabbet of Samhain was when all conditions were right, not a week before or two weeks later. So, as I look out my window at the deep snow drifts piled around my home I wonder, has the appropriate time for Samhain ped? It seems we are out of sync with Nature's rhythm and are just trying to hold on to a custom that reminds us of where we once came from. Just wondering your take on it. Here's wishing you and yours a blessed Samhain.
