Holding hands help? please, it'll only take a sec to answer :)?

i feel really stupid asking this haha, but i need help :( so i really like this guy and i'm pretty sure he likes me to :) i watched a movie at his house the other day, and he put his arm around me. I scooted close to him but then my left arm was all awkwardly squashed between our bodies haha should i have scooted my body infront of his, kinda leaning on him or what? i dont know please help :) also, when kissing, where do you put your hands? on his arms, face?
