What is the best home remedy for an abcessed tooth?

Try dissolving an aspirin on the tooth. Will taste gross but works great for pain. Also the dentists use clove oil on a regular basis. I tried that and I do not suggest putting that on toothpaste. Tea tree oil is less gross and will help with infection but not pain. Try one drop on your toothpaste( it tastes gross I am not kidding here) and brush for minimum 2 minutes. Rinse well. And call the dentist or your doctor for antibiotics and pain medication and then make sure you get an appt with the dentist. The infection needs cleared up before they can do much of anything but there is no reason to live in pain. Good idea about the tea bags - I will save that for future reference myself.
