Last name first or first name first when writing a letter to BCT?

It's best to put last name first that way it's easier for the Drill Sergeants to sort it out when they do mail call since everyone is addressed by last name. Besides, the way your husband wrote it probably the exact way the Drill Sergeants told his company to write it when they first got the address.
