United Kingdom, Manchester, Fallow field --- how is this area?

You don't sound British, I live near Manchester and find your answer, especially the part about the Northern accent to be discriminatory, if your 'friend' is worried why doesn't he/she stay where she is. Manchester is fine without them, its perfectly friendly to other Manchester people and thats what counts.
